Step 1: Decide what each person wears
A workable starting point per crew member is a mix of base layers for the season and one outer layer.
- Two to three long sleeves or tees, so there is always a clean one.
- One hoodie for cold mornings.
- One cap if the crew works outdoors.
- A polo for whoever meets customers at the door or in the office.
Step 2: Put the right things on it
- Company name or logo on the chest.
- Phone number large on the back. Your crew is a moving ad on every street they work.
- Licence number if your state or customers expect it.
- One colour system across everything, so mixed pieces still look like one team.
See how this looks on finished pieces in the gallery.
Step 3: Get sizes right the first time
Collect sizes from every person before you place the order. Add a few spare pieces in common sizes for new hires. Ask for a size chart before ordering and confirm whether sizes run closer to US or Asian cuts.
Step 4: Plan the reorder
New hires, wear and weather all mean you will reorder. Keep your approved design on file so a reorder uses the exact same artwork and colours. With us, the approved design is stored so you can order again without starting over.
Trade-specific notes
Each trade wears its uniform differently. See the pages for HVAC, plumbing, roofing, landscaping and pressure washing. When you are ready, send your logo and get a free design within 24 hours.
Common questions
How many shirts should each worker get?
A common starting point is two to three tops per person plus one outer layer, so there is always a clean set between washes.
What should go on the back of a work shirt?
Most trade owners put a large company name and phone number on the back, since that is what customers and neighbours see most.
Can I reorder the same design later?
Yes. Your approved design is kept so new hires can be matched to the same artwork and colours.
