The five things worth printing
- Company name or logo, large and readable from a distance.
- Phone number, big enough to read from the curb.
- Main services, in a short line such as "Heating, cooling and repair".
- Licence or insured line, if customers or your state expect it.
- Website or one short tagline, but not both if it makes the print crowded.
What to leave off
- Long paragraphs. Nobody reads them from a driveway.
- More than two or three fonts or colours.
- Small text that disappears at a distance.
Why full-print helps
With full-print sublimation, the design covers the whole back and sleeves, so you can use your brand colours as a background and keep the text bold. See sublimation vs screen print, then send your logo for a free design.
Common questions
How big should a phone number be on a work shirt?
Large enough to read from about 15 feet. Most crews make it one of the biggest elements on the back.
Should I put my website on the back?
Only if there is room. A phone number is usually more useful than a web address for service businesses.
Can names go on the front?
Yes. First names or crew numbers on the chest or sleeve are common.
